White porcelain thimble of European bison, Żubry in Polish, also known as a wisent. As the heaviest surviving land animal in Europe, the Żubr was almost annihilate by the end of World War I. This endangered species can now be found in the Białowieża Forest preserve in Poland and Belarus. Above the image is "POLSKA" lettering.
