1918 Independence Crowned Polish White Eagle Silver Plated Icon
In the 18th century Poland underwent a series of partitions by its neighboring powers, Russia, Prussia and Austria. In 1918, at the end of World War I, after a century and a half of foreign occupation, the Treaty of Versailles established Poland's long awaited independence. The Crowned White Eagle again reappeared as the state emblem of the Republic of Poland. Handmade in Poland, this silver plated icon has a wooden golden frame with a red velvet background. The back of the religious icon comes affixed with a triangle hanger for easy wall mounting.

Silver Plated Icon Measures approx: 7.5" W x 6.5" H x 0.75" D
