The history of the known and respected Warsaw's surgeon, Rafał Wilczur, who after the loss of memory, under the name of Antoni Kosiba, settles at the Prokop's mill near the village of Radoliszki. There, though not understanding the sources of his knowledge, Rafał Wilczur provides medical advice and surgical procedures, arousing the admiration of simple people and envy of a local doctor. The second story talks about the fate of Maria Jolanta Wilczur, his daughter, her love for Count Leszek Czyński and road crash, thanks to which she goes, though in a hopeless state, in the hands of the Quack Kosiba.
